Does running work your abs?
For so many years we have been told that running works our abs. We are told by the infomercials and the magazine advertisers that we can look slim, strong, and healthy if we stick to a program of running for a period of time.
There are even several specific programs that claim to show you how to run and train your abs.
But does run really work? And if it doesn’t, what does? Do we need to invest a lot of money to achieve the sleek abs we all dream of? The answer to the first question is yes. Running does work, but it will not work alone. You cannot just go running on a set route and expect for things to just magically work out for you.
It may be that the only way for you to see results from running is if you have an entire program right at your fingertips, including all the running exercises needed to burn off those stubborn belly fat. But then again, isn’t that a bit much? Running does help us lose belly fat, but do we really need a complete workout in order to do so? Do we really have to spend an hour or two each day working on our abs? The answer to those questions may surprise you.

Yes, running does work. If you want to see results you must include some form of running exercises. Running does help strengthen our legs and the entire body, but those exercises must be done correctly in order for the gains to be real. Running requires strength, so we must do exercises that will build up those muscles. Otherwise those muscles will just be weak, which does absolutely no good to us.
How do we go about building up those muscles? There are a few different ways, but the easiest is through increased speed. Most runners slow their runs down during the end, but that is because they are trying to get their bodies to the finish line faster. That is the last part of the exercise, and it requires us to exert even more force against the ground. If we do not do those workouts right, we will not get very far. But when we speed up during the middle of the run, that is when we are doing the most beneficial exercise possible.
When we run, our bodies begin to move at a faster rate. This increased movement does work the abdominal muscles, but only if we do the workouts properly. If we rush through the first part of the run, the muscles will be tired before the end of the race. That means we will not be able to do as much in the second half as we could in the first. We must do the running exercises correctly in order for them to have any chance of getting us the results we are looking for.
For those who do not know how to do the running exercises correctly, there are many videos available that can show you how to do it properly. Even if you do that, you still may not be getting the results you want. You need to know what you are doing and why. The first step to answering the question does run work your abs is to get rid of all the extra body fat you have. Once you have done that, you will start to see results.
Does running work your abs? The answer is a resounding yes. If you have been doing the running exercises incorrectly, however, you might never see the results you want.
